Estate Planning

If you have been putting off estate planning because you don’t have time for it, let me help!

The only document I need is your deed (and if you don’t have it, that’s OK too).

My forms are easy to complete.  I’ve simplified the process so you aren’t overwhelmed.  Promise!

Your situation is unique.  Don’t use an attorney who makes you fill out a form that doesn’t recognize your situation.

Unmarried couple – I have forms for you.

LGBTQIA+ – I have forms for you.

Need to change your name/gender before you complete your estate plan?  – I can do that for you too.

And, unlike any other firm I know, I’m licensed to provide a funeral plan.  This means that once you are done working with me, you will be taken care of from the moment you become incapacitated, until the moment the last dollar of your estate is distributed.

My virtual system has allowed me to help people in Santa Clarita, Montrose, Redding, Carlsbad, Downey, Rosemead, Santa Monica, Valencia, Lake View Terrace, Altadena, Burbank, Sunland, Silverlake, La Crescenta, Santa Monica, Long Beach and more.

frequently asked questions

Many of my client’s get an estate plan because of how messy their parent’s estate was and they don’t want that for their kids.  Or, they do it because they appreciate how easy it was if their parents did have one.

It’s hard to know if anyone will follow your informal orders after you pass away.  They may.  Or they may not.  To ensure things go smoothly and the way you want them to go, you need an estate plan.

Most of the time, an estate plan will also save your family thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours.

We just never know what the future holds.  Accidents are the #1 cause of death for people ages 1-44.  They happen every day.  While most people do live long lives, you just never know.  Making an estate plan ensures that your money and your family are taken care of if you were to pass away.

Let’s talk.  Let’s see what you need.  There are options.  And payment plans are available.  But if you don’t take care of your estate before you pass away, there’s a good chance your heirs are going to spend a lot more money and a lot of time taking care of it.

The problem with DIY estate plans is you just never know.  Check my Instagram for stories I’ve shared (@joleneestates).  People leave their kids to their cars (read that again).  They have invalid deeds which invalidates the trust really.  They notarize their wills, which is not allowed in CA.  There are a million ways people mess up DIY estate plans.  And you won’t be aware of the problem until it’s too late.  The point of an estate plan is to relieve stress from your family.  So do it once and do it right.

Don’t worry!  My office is virtual.  No need to come to me.  In fact, I serve all of California because my office is virtual.  My clients have ranged from Carlsbad to Roseville.  The entire process takes place online, over the phone and email.  Even the signing process can be done at your home or wherever you choose.

You and your children are the most important assets in your estate.  Let’s protect you!  We can do that for very little money.  Don’t wait until it’s too late.

I offer 2 services. I offer a guided webinar every month to guide people to DIY this process. Or, I can complete the paperwork for you and provide you with specific instructions so you can file the documents successfully. Just ask for more information!
